PUBLIC Dolores Cahill is former Irish Freedom Party chairperson until she was fired in March 2021 by Hermann Kelly. Cahill has an [international profile](https://farrightobservatory.medium.com/covid-denial-dolores-cahill-and-the-international-far-right-5d76b8f1fee9) that best viewed as a gateway role channeling followers from conspiracy theory and Yellow Vest type subcultures to far-right networks. Cahill ran in the 2020 General Election and 2021 by-election for Dublin Bay South. She says she first decided to get involved in public life because she saw Ireland as a “country in decline”. She is former University College Dublin professor with an international profile, a former researcher with Max Planck Institute Germany which gives her credibility and a global reach to push anti-vax, Covid denialist content and has become somewhat of a celebrity on the far-right scene in the US and Europe where she is associated with the Querdenken movement. In 2020 Cahill spoke at anti lockdown demonstrations in Denmark, Germany, Northern Ireland, Switzerland, London, Glasgow and broadcasted to a demonstration in Berlin. She has been the main speaker at Health Freedom Ireland events in Ireland. Cahill co-founded a range of organisations flagged as pushing false info and asking people to sign up to paid membership including The Happy Network, The World Doctors’ Alliance and allied World Freedom Alliance, the ‘Freedom Airway and Freedom Travel Alliance’ and the Custodean Project. Cahill was [outed](https://farrightobservatory.medium.com/the-many-enterprises-of-dolores-cahill-5b1170c12f22) by the Far Right Observatory for having earned money in the service of “big pharma” and for purchasing White Castle in Athy (sold for €435,000 to Cahill and a partner in January 2020) where she hosts alternative-esoteric events.
