[The DFLA has never really recovered from it’s October 2018 defeat on the streets](https://www.weareplanc.org/blog/anti-fascists-took-to-the-streets-of-london-to-block-the-dfla/) of London when a large coalition of anti-fascists blocked the route of it’s march and the DFLA’s attempt to attack this coalition was violently rebuffed by the police. The DLFA still exists and it can still mobilise people but not in the thousands. Now it is predominantly a way for far-right football hooligans to attend protests organised by others. The DFLA’s South East Division, composed of Spurs and West Ham hooligans is still active and joined a far-right protest in Nottingham in summer 2020, attended by neo-Nazis and counter-jihad types, where they were involved in a confrontation with anti-fascist football fans.
