The Irish Society of Saint Pius X Resistance is an anti-Semitic religious cult based in Roscarberry, West Cork. Matt Bruton, son of former Taoiseach John Bruton, [confirmed](https://extra.ie/2021/10/10/news/irish-news/son-of-former-taoiseach-linked-to-anti-semitic-sect-led-by-convicted-holocaust-denier) his involvement with the SSPXR. The international organisation SSPXR was founded by Richard Williamson. Williamson gave a sermon in Cork in 2020 during which [he referred to Jewish people as “master servants of the devil”](https://www.irishtimes.com/news/crime-and-law/woman-to-be-arrested-over-allegations-from-ultra-conservative-religious-group-1.4622651) responsible for the start of Covid-19.
